Match Report: Seaton Carew FC 2-1 Durham FC Corinthians
The recently crowned Wearside League Premier Division champions took all three points from their clash with mid-table Durham FC Corinthians in a 2-1 win.

Robbie Lithgo’s left-footed volley opened the scoring for Seaton just after half an hour, but Jamie Farrel levelled the game just three minutes later.
Alfie Croft’s tidy finish meant Seaton retook the lead on 56 minutes, and his effort ended up being the winner.
Farrel had an early opportunity to give his side the lead after 20 minutes, when he found himself one-on-one with the keeper, but his shot rolled wide of the post.
Just two minutes later, a ball over the top turned defence into attack for Seaton, and Lithgo’s first-time volley from the edge of the box flew into the bottom corner.
Durham responded instantly, as Jordan Harker’s pass found Farrel down the right wing, and he fired the ball into the roof of the net from the angle to level the game.
Durham could’ve had three before half-time, with Farrel causing all sorts of problems for Seaton’s defence, but not managing to find the back of the net on both occasions.
Seaton retook the lead ten minutes into the second half through Croft, who found the bottom corner with a tidy finish after Lithgo found him with a perfectly weighted pass in the penalty area.
Seaton could’ve put the game to bed on 88 minutes, but Dean Cope’s header dragged just wide of the post.
Seaton moved themselves even further away from the rest of the table, while Durham missed an opportunity to move fourth and remain just one point outside of the play-off spaces.
