Guisborough Town 0 – 3 Scarborough Athletic

Scarborough Athletic won their second trophy in as many finals this season as the seaside team beat Guisborough Town 3-0 in the North Riding’s Senior Cup Final.

Three second half goals from Boro made the difference as Brad Plant, Will Jarvis and a late goal from Ryan Watson sealed the title for Scarborough.

Guisborough started the game strong but nearly conceded eight minutes in with Town’s keeper denying Luca Colville an early goal.

Guisborough had a chance of their own 13 minutes later but a big challenge from Will Thornton kept the game level.

A slow first half came to an end with the teams level although both were disappointed to not be ahead in the game.

A weak clearance from James Dillon was intercepted by Scarborough which led to Ashley Jackson floating a cross in which the keeper fumbled before Plant tapped in the opener in the 54’.

Boro doubled their lead from a swift counter attack 17 minutes later when Kieran Glynn chopped back before laying it off to Jarvis who bent the ball delicately into the far corner.

Jarvis nearly got another after a skillful run from the halfway line but was denied the chance to score a wonder goal.

Solid tracking back from Glynn is rewarded as he wins the ball and lays it off to Coulson who’s shot is blocked but the ball lands nicely for a 90’ outside-the-box goal from substitute Watson.
