Joshua vs Ngannou – Eddie Hearn provides update on potential heavyweight showdown
2024 could be a big year for Eddie Hearn and Anthony Joshua if the former Heavyweight Champion Of The World can get past Otto Wallin.
Joshua faces Wallin on an already-stacked card in Saudi Arabia on December 23rd, which also features Deontay Wilder, and if both can win their respective fights, then a battle in 2024 could happen between them.
Joshua will also be keen to see the winner between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury, which takes place in February for all the belts.
AJ will want to take another chance at Usyk or finally get the opportunity to make the biggest fight in British history come to fruition with Tyson Fury. But there’s also the chance of squaring off with former UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou.
Hearn provided information on a potential showdown with the Cameroonian native.
“I reached out to Francis Ngannou’s team and said just to let you know we’re up for discussing the AJ- Ngannou fight; I never heard back from them, said Hearn when speaking on The MMA Hour
“I think knowing the business I would say that probably Fury- Ngannou is probably agreed post Fury-Usyk already.”
