Gerwyn Price secures nightly win in Antwerp – Premier League Darts Night Two
Gerwyn Price picked up all five points to get off the mark as the Premier League Darts headed to Belgium for the first time.
The Iceman pipped both Gian van Veen and Jonny Clayton with last leg deciders before comfortably overcoming Michael van Gerwen to win the night.
Match 1: Luke Littler vs Luke Humphries
The Belgian crowd were treated to a tasty opener as the World #1 took on the World #2.
Luke Humphries led Luke Littler 4-1 after five legs, Littler went onto win to four of the next five legs to send the clash to a last leg decider. The Nuke missed two darts at double 15 allowing Cool Hand three match darts but he couldn’t put the game to bed and eventually Littler hit double 15 to book his place in the semi-final.

Match 2: Michael van Gerwen vs Josh Rock
The Dutch #2 followed up last weeks riot on Tyneside with ease seeing off a below par Josh Rock. The Northern Irish star struggled to get going and appeared to be having issues with the grip of his darts which he later alluded to on social media.
The Green Machine hit a Shanghai finish in leg six to take a 5-1 and hit double nine to see off Rocky.
Result: Michael van Gerwen (89.05) 6-2 Josh Rock (79.34)
Match 3: Jonny Clayton vs Stephen Bunting
Stephen Bunting won the first four legs including taking out 104 to win leg three. The comfortable lead didn’t last long however with Clayton averaging almost over 120 across the last six legs to see off the Bullet.
The Ferret reeled off all six legs on the spin and took out 124 to see off Bunting and pick up another two points. The rank #7 finds himself in a similar situation to last year where he just can’t seem to get over the line. The Bullet led 2-0 last week and 4-0 this week and lost all legs after that on both occasions.

Match 4: Gerwyn Price vs Gian van Veen
Van Veen took out 112 in leg four and marched to a 4-2 lead, but the Welshman roared back and won the next three legs for 5-4. The Dutch #1 held throw sending the Belgian crowd to the second last leg decider of the night.
Price missed a dart at bull to win, but van Veen could only follow suit, and the Iceman took out his much-loved double 12 for the match.

Semi-final 1: Luke Littler vs Michael van Gerwen
In a repeat of the 2025 World Darts Championships Final Littler and van Gerwen went head-to-head for a spot in the final. The pair broke each other’s throw in the opening two legs. Littler then popped 107 for a 2-1 lead. The Green Machine took charge winning back-to-back legs to get himself back in-front.
The next four legs saw four breaks of throw with van Gerwen needing to hold throw to see off the Nuke. The seven-time Premier League Champ hit double 16 to record back-to-back finals in the opening two week of the season.

Semi-final 2: Jonny Clayton vs Gerwyn Price
The penultimate match in Antwerp saw an all-Welsh battle for a spot in the final. The first six legs saw six holds of throw with the scores level at three a piece. The Iceman moved first breaking Clayton’s throw only for the Ferret to break back and then hold to go one away.
Price took out 81 to send the game to a last leg decider his second of the night and third of the tournament so far. The World #11 then stole the leg hitting double five to set up a clash with van Gerwen in the final.

Final: Michael van Gerwen vs Gerwyn Price
In a repeat of the 2023 Premier League final, it was Netherlands the Wales for the first ever nightly win on Belgian soil. Price reeled off the opening two legs, but van Gerwen fired back in style popping 167 followed by 160 to level the scoring. The Iceman picked up the next three legs to go one away breaking MVG’s throw twice.
The Dutchman broke throw in leg eight but was unable to send the game any further with Price taking out tops for the match.

Price picked up a valuable five points and a first nightly win of the campaign leaving him second in the table ahead of next weeks action in Glasgow.
