Luke Littler picks up fourth nightly win: Premier League Darts Night 12 – Liverpool
The Nuke overcomes the Ferret in the night 12 final to close the gap to just three points.
Littler also saw off world #2 Luke Humphries and world #4 Michael van Gerwen on the way to victory.
Match 1: Gian van Veen vs Gerwyn Price
Gian van Veen got back to winning ways defeating Gerwyn Price who is without a Premier League win since picking up the nightly win in Manchester.
The opening five legs saw five breaks of throw with the young Dutchman 3-2 ahead. Price popped 103 in leg eight to keep his chances alive, but van Veen pinned double ten to end his losing streak. The pair both had troubles on the outer ring with Price missing eight chances and the world #3 missing nine.
Price takes on Stephen Bunting next week in Aberdeen.

Match 2: Stephen Bunting vs Jonny Clayton
Bunting took on the Ferret on home soil, with the whole of Liverpool behind him. However, it wasn’t to be, Clayton started the matchand every leg was a hold of throw meaning Clayton through for the match in a last-leg decider.
The Ferret continued the script, but only just with Bunting marginally missing double 18 to win it. Clayton stepped up and took out double eight to continue to his excellent Premier League campaign.

Match 3: Josh Rock vs Michael van Gerwen
Van Gerwen ended Josh Rock’s four game quarter-final winning streak.
The highlight of the game was an extremely bizarre moment where Rocky has two trebles and his final dart bounced off the single and somehow landed perfectly in the treble, even to his confusion.
Both players missed nine darts on the outer ring. Eventually van Gerwen wrapped it up after missing two match darts he pinned his beloved double 16.

Match 4: Luke Humphries vs Luke Littler
The Nuke eased past Humphries in the final first round tie of the evening. Littler went 4-0 up within minutes and despite Cool Hand getting two legs on board there was no real signs of Littler throwing the tie away.
Despite missing three match darts the World Champ took out double four to add another two points to his name and set up a semi-final clash with the Green Machine.

Semi-final 1: Gian van Veen vs Jonny Clayton
Clayton booked his spot in a third final in as many weeks with a last leg decider victory against van Veen. The Ferret missed just three darts at double and popped three 100+ checkouts. The Giant marched into an early 2-0 lead, but things began to turn in leg five where Clayton popped his beloved 121 as he often does.
The Ferret followed up with a 101 checkout in leg seven and a huge 156 in leg eight to go 5-3 up. The young Dutchman took out a 100+ checkout of his own popping 112 for 5-4, the world #3 then forced a deciding leg where he narrowly missed the bull for a 167 finish for the match. Clayton made no mistakes and took his chance at double 16 to add more points to his tally.

Semi-final 2: Michael van Gerwen vs Luke Littler
Littler then saw off van Gerwen who averaged 107 and hit nine maximums. The pair only missed three darts at the other ring between them with the Nuke only missing one attempt to see off a leg.
Littler took the opener, with the Green Machine reeling off the following three legs in quick time. The Nuke took out 100 followed by 42 for 3-3 with the next four legs all breaks of throw sending the tie to a last-leg decider. Littler took out tops to arrange another final with Clayton.

Final: Jonny Clayton vs Luke Littler
Littler ended the night in style, running riot against the league leader whilst averaging 104. The world #5 spurned five darts at double with Littler 60% on the outer ring. The Nuke had a chance to whitewash the Ferret but didn’t get going with his 148 attempt.
Moments later Littler did put an end to proceedings pinning tops at the first time of asking, to close the gap to within three points of the Ferret.
