Hebburn manager Kevin Bolam: “Sunderland RCA will be looking for a reaction”

Hebburn Town manager Kevin Bolam has said that Sunderland RCA will be “looking for a reaction” ahead of tomorrow’s game at the Energy Check Sports Ground.

RCA come into the game off the back of a 7-1 win over Washington in the League Cup, but last week they lost 6-2 at home to Whitley Bay in the league.

They currently occupy 11th place in the Division 1 table and are without a win in their last six league games. Their last league win came at the start of September when they beat Thornaby 2-1 away from home.

In contrast, Hebburn are one of the form sides in the division sitting top of the table after 15 games.

They’ve won their last six games in all competitions, and the last time they dropped points was when they drew 2-2 to Sunderland RCA in the reverse fixture towards the end of September.

Ahead of the game, manager Kevin Bolam said: “Of course it’s going to be a tough game, they’ll be hurting off last week’s result and I would imagine Martin (Swales) will be looking for a reaction and his players will be looking for a reaction and no doubt they’ll give him one so it’ll be a really tough game, you never get an easy game against Sunderland RCA they’re a really good side.”

The game kicks off at 3pm tomorrow at the Energy Check Sports Ground, with entry £6 for adults, £4 for concessions and £1 for U16s.
