Billy Greulich-Smith scored a hat-trick as Shildon put four past Hebburn Town at Dean Street last night.

The hosts were 1-0 up at half time through Greulich-Smith before he added another two early in the second half.

Matty Robson got the winning goal later in the second half.

Shildon started the game well and came close when Danny Craggs’ free kick was parried by Andrew Jennison in the fourth minute.

15 minutes later, Craggs came close again but his long range shot was pushed wide.

Just moments later, Shildon went in front when Hebburn defender Danny Carson lost the ball to Greulich-Smith who buried the ball in the bottom-right corner.

In the 31st minute, Greulich-Smith headed the ball on towards Craggs who hit the post.

Four minutes into the second half, Hebburn poorly defended a cross into the box and Greulich-Smith put the ball away from close range.

Just four minutes later, Greulich-Smith completed his hat-trick – heading home on the end of Robson’s cross.

Robson then got in on the act and scored a goal of his own in the 72nd minute when he played a one-two with Kurt Matthews and curled the ball round Jennison.

Hebburn had two rare chances towards the end, with Louis Storey heading against the crossbar in the 75th minute and Lewis Suddick curling the ball wide in the last kick of the game.

The result means Shildon move up to third in the Division 1 table and Hebburn could move off top spot if Stockton win tonight.
