Match report: Sunderland West End 2 – 2 Prudhoe YC Seniors
Sunderland West End secured a point at the death, after 90 minutes could not separate them from visitors Prudhoe YC Seniors.
Lloyd Hayes drew first blood just 10 minutes in, before Matt Law equalised with a penalty nearly 20 minutes later.
Fin Baty scored in the 35th minute as the visitors took the lead going into the break, but Jay McLean denied the visitors three points, scoring in the 88th minute.
West End started the game 17th in the table, their first match in a fortnight. Prudhoe were only three places above, winless since October 7.
Hayes opened the scoring in the 10th minute, after a through ball left him one-on-one with the keeper, tucking it into the bottom corner.
A penalty was awarded to Prudhoe in the 29th minute after a foul by Elliot Judson, which was slotted away by Law to bring the two sides level.
It only took seven minutes for Prudhoe to take the lead after, with Baty receiving a pass down the left side and placing it into the far corner.
West End were handed a lifeline late on as McLean scored from a goal-line scramble to equalise with just two minutes left to play.
Although searching for a late winner, Sunderland West End had to settle with just one point, as they secured a 2-2 draw.
