Whickham FC vs Boro Rangers Match Preview

Whickham FC welcome Boro Rangers to the Glebe sports ground on Saturday in Northern League Division One

Both teams will be desperate for a result with them both fighting their own battles at either end of the table.

The Lang Jacks currently sit just above the relegation zone in 19th. They will be looking for three points to move even further away from the teams below them, who all have a game in hand.

Whickham go into the game off the back of a 4-0 loss at the weekend against Newcastle Benfield, whilst their opponents this weekend drew 2-2 in their last game.

With sights set on their Durham County FA challenge cup final in April, Whickham will be hoping to survive relegation alongside securing a trophy this season.

Boro Rangers are currently in the play-off places of the league in fifth place. With only three games left of the campaign, a result at the weekend would take them one step closer to securing a play-off spot.

These two teams last played each other in September last year, Boro Rangers dominated the game winning 6-1.

It’s unlikely it will be as one sided this time around and it will be interesting to see if Whickham can defeat the odds to get a result.

Kick off on Saturday at the Glebe sports ground is at 3pm.
