Thunder were down a player for the start of the second period, due to them still serving a penalty they received in the first period for delaying the game.

Whitley scored two consecutive goals less than a minute apart, with Phil Edgar and Ross Douglass scoring in the 25th and 26th minute, putting them up seven goals.

Thunder managed to score a goal, and both teams changed their net minders just before a fight broke out on the ice, seeing six players, three from each team, serve penalties for roughing, fighting or unsportsmanlike conduct.

Initially Thunder won the puck in the third, however their control of the game didn’t last long as Cameron Ware scored his second goal of the game, two minutes into the final period.

While Thunder were constantly a player down due to multiple penalties, the Warriors took full advantage of the situation and scored seven times in total during the last 20 minutes.

A standout goal from the game was in fact the final goal of the game, scored by Harry Harley due to the power he inflicted onto the puck given the distance between him and the net.

The game ended Warriors 15 – 2 Thunder, with Warriors having 36 shots on target compared to Thunder’s 19.
