University of Sunderland Netball Team complete 12 hour cycle to raise money for St Benedicts Hospice

The University of Sunderland Netball Team have completed a twelve hour cycle in order to raise money for St Benedicts Hospice.

The girls were taking donations during their cycle to in order to support the local Ryhope based hospice.

From 8am to 8pm, the girls cycled in City Space on the University of Sunderland Campus.

St Benedicts Hospice was chosen as it has been the Netball team’s charity for a couple of years and when COVID hit, the girls didn’t have as many opportunities to fundraise as they usually would have so they decided to choose the same charity again.

University Netball team player, Caitlin Taylor commented: “It was really fun to get involved with the fundraising, and when it felt like it was getting hard it was nice to know it was for a good cause which helps so many people!

“I’d just like to say a massive well done to everyone who took part and thank you so much to everyone who donated!”
