Luke Littler becomes fifth different nightly winner picking up his first nightly win Premier League Darts Night Five – Cardiff
The Nuke beat Josh Rock, Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton to kick start his 2026 Premier League hopes.
Match 1: Michael van Gerwen vs Luke Humphries
Luke Humphries picked up two points in the opening game in Wales. Cool Hand obliterated van Gerwen who is yet to win a game since losing the Antwerp final to Price in night two.
Van Gerwen won his first leg of throw for 1-1 before Humphries reeled off the next five legs only allowing the Dutchman two darts at double. Humphries checked out double 16 for the match picking up just his third win of the campaign and booking a spot in the semi-final.

Match 2: Gian van Veen vs Jonny Clayton
Clayton continued his impressive Premier League run winning his fifth consecutive quarter-final tie. The Ferret lost the opening leg before winning the next four including a 105 checkout.
The young Dutchman didn’t give up and got a ton+ finish of his own in leg nine taking out 104. The Welsh #1 pinned double nine to see off the world #3.

Match 3: Gerwyn Price vs Stephen Bunting
Price overcame the Bullet on home soil. The Welshman survived a scare coming from behind once again. Bunting took a 2-0 then 3-1 lead before Price went 5-4 up. The world #6 sent the game to a decider with double four.
The Bullet had a fart for the match but was unable to convert at tops. Price made no mistake with his favourite target pinning tops for the match.

Match 4: Luke Littler vs Josh Rock
Rock took a 2–1 lead and missed multiple darts at double 10 to go 3-1 up. The Nuke then took charge and went into a 4-2 lead.
In leg seven Rock went seven into the nine but was unable to follow up last weeks heroics in Belfast. The Northern Ireland star finally ended his run of 6-2 defeats winning leg seven.
Littler went on to win 6-4 pinning his beloved double 10 for the match.

Semi-final 1: Luke Humphries vs Jonny Clayton
Clayton continued his homecoming with a win over the world #2. Humphries missed 13 darts at double with the Ferret spurning 11 opportunities.
The world #5 took out tops for his second final of the year adding a point to his tally keeping him top of the pile for another week. Humphries after five weeks is yet to reach a final and takes on world #3 van Veen in Nottingham next week.

Semi-final 2: Gerwyn Price vs Luke Littler
Littler averaged a whopping 111.05 ending any chance of an all-Welsh final. The Nuke hit four maximums and three 100+ checkouts.
The 19-year-old took out 121 in leg two, 160 in leg three before pinning bullseye for the big fish for the match in leg nine. Littler booked his place in his first final of the campaign. Price faces the Nuke again next week in Nottingham, where the Iceman beat Littler in last year’s final.

Final: Jonny Clayton vs Luke Littler
The Nuke ended the night in style again averaging over 100. With a 106.44 average and another big fish checkout the Nuke put an end to Clayton’s hopes of a second nightly win.
The Ferret kept pace with Littler for eight legs going into leg nine at 4-4. Littler took out tops for the match and after five weeks of actions finally picks up his first nightly win.
